![]() Yeah, like I said, building myself towards resurrection, and am a level away from being able to turn priests into Inquisitors. They're even harder not easy to replace, but they seem to have a lot of health. Again, was thinking of replacing them with Arch Mages. Plus I haven't found somewhere that has a lot, so I'm afraid of running out. For example, what should I replace the Peasants with?Īre Bowman really that great? they don't seem to do all that much damage. I was hoping that you'd recommend what to replace the units I should replace other units with though. So try to have at least 2 or 3 troops that basically have enough life that they never die if you're careful with them. Ideally you'll only end up with like 2 units that might die frequently, and can protect at least one of the two, to minimize your casting of resurrection. They're incredible, and I use them all the way through to the end of the game. It sounds like someone has already clued you into the glory of Royal Snakes, so definitely keep an eye out for those. Arch Mages are also fantastic as a unit that won't need much maintenance since they have high health. Royal Thorns (the red ones) are also fantastic as they can spawn other thorn troops to soak up damage, although you won't be able to get them until a little later most likely. One of the good early units you can get are bears, especially the winter ones as they have tons of health and you should be able to keep them from dying. Each time you start a new game, the available troops/spells in most areas are randomized so it's a little different each time. ![]() The other two slots are open to whatever goodies you can find. Eventually replace priests with the red cloak guys who can resurrect. ![]() Priest, Swordsman, and Bowman are your bread and butter for a long time. Try to move towards units that don't die so much. The cool thing about KB though, is that you can pretty much pick any troops you like, and you can make it work.ĭitch the peasants the very first chance you get. Lategame, I seem to remember loving the Elf troops, but that's just me. There's also Zombie Rina, who gives you a morale bonus to the undead. There's one wife - I think her name is Feonora - who can turn into a frog, and when she's in that form, she'll give a morale bonus to Snakes and Spiders. all human), they'll get a morale bonus, which provides some hefty stat boosts. I'm not sure if you've been able to experiment with the morale bonuses yet, but when you have a team of units that are all the same race (e.g. You'll want to phase them out eventually, but earlygame they're some of the best troops from what I remember. (On a side note, I think doing a "peasants-only challenge run" would be an interesting experiment to see if any KB game is possible like this.) Peasants intentionally SUCK in every KB game. You'll definitely want to replace peasants at some point. So, what should I replace, and with what? But like bears and the snakes, I can't use the resurrect spell, and enemies just plain steamroll the poor plant. It's also a super cheap, and easy replacement. And best of all, it isn't affected by fear. Thorn-Hunter: God the range and damage! Love to Bless these during the first turn, and dish out some serious damage. Seems to dish out a good amount of damage, and take a lot of it. I tried exchanging them with bears and King Snakes(not that I've found any King Snakes yet sadly), but the resurrection spell doesn't seem to work on them. Love the the insane amount of damage they do with their large numbers, but I figure there's gotta be a better alternative. Peasants: This feels like a slow, melee glass cannon. Thinking maybe with Archmages, but I wanna get a second opinion. ![]() Again, I'll turn them into Inquisitors hopefully next level.īowman: yeah, feels like a super underpowered ranged character, definately wanna replace it. I'm also currently in Arlania, the second map that the main quest sends you to. From there the plan is to focus on runic stone in hopes that I'll be near unkillable. I'm been almost completely focused on getting the ability to turn Priests into Inquisitors. I'm A level 5 Paladin that's speccing myself towards being able to resurrect my units so I don't run out of them. Ok, so the main question is what early party should I go for?
